Hi all, I've got the strangest (well perhaps not so strange) results in the past couple of weeks. I decided it was time for some strict measures to improve my overall strength, and fitness, and have imposed myself a strict diet, as well as working out every day, mostly two days of weights in which I tend to grab the larger muscle groups and full body workouts, as I also want to burn as much flab from my waist as possible, and this is followed by a day of mostly cardio. Strange part is, I've gained a kilo each week so far. I feel great so that's the good part, but I'm not sure if I've noticed any flab dissapearing, nor muscles appearing, so where is this weight coming from? Is it muscle (I know it's about 15% heavier per volume unit than fat), or am I retaining something?

Hi Koos
Are you taking any supplements ? i know pro boxers in UK who took creatine when it first came out, and had great results strength and stamina wise, but gained body weight as a result, not good when they had a weight catagory to make.

No supplements, and all the panic was for no reason. :-) I've now started to lose weight. I guess my body first needed to get used to it's new 'regime'. Results are good now. besides I've changed my approach, I'm not worried about the number on the scales, I can see in the mirror now that my fat is disappearing and I'm gaining a little muscle and definition, so if I still weigh the same, at least I am in better shape :-) I've since changed my workout routine a bit, Every day weights plus cardio, but hit different muscle group every day, and burn fat and gain endurance through the added cardio.
