I would like to read about other peoples experiences on starting Martial Arts after 50 years of age. I have been in and out of Martial Arts since the early 1970's. I have been back in Tang Soo Do for the past year and will be 61 years old in August. I have a passion for the arts now like never before. Thanks, Meltinpix

while i can't say that i started after 50--i think i know what it feels like. after a total hip replacement, rotator cuff surgery, and appendectomy, all in the space of 4 years. i am around the same age as you. in general it is like an old car, if you keep it running all the time, you can do ok. it is when you stop and have to restart it that you run into trouble. to me the best advice came from Woody Allen "90 percent of success is just showing up". works for me..
